Robin and Steve tell their friends and family that they're just friends that they don't see themselves dating each other. Everyone can see how happy Steve is with Nancy not knowing what actually happens in the so called perfect relationship while Robin on the other hand is single and looking for her Mr. Right hoping they can make her forget that maybe she does have a crush on her best friend. When Steve shows up on Robin's doorstep looking like he was jumped her first instinct was to go to the police or to tell Steve's older half-brother Eddie only for Steve to freak out and flee. Nobody has seen him for days and everyone is starting to get worried the only person who doesn't seem worried is Steve's girlfriend Nancy Wheeler who started dating Jonathan Byers. Robin is determined to find her best friend even if it means to come clean about Steve showing up at her house hurt the night of his disappearance.
