"𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥"he said coldly, his voice a blade.
"𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭," she hissed, trembling with rage.
"𝐈'𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐫. 𝐈'𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮."

He was the man she once loved-the same man who now wants to break her.

To him, she's a liar. A traitor. A woman who sold her soul and shattered his trust. So he forces a ring onto her finger, not out of love-but punishment.

What he doesn't see is the girl beneath the guilt: broken beyond repair, hollowed by choices she never wanted to make. She hides it all behind clumsy laughter and sunshiny smiles, hoping he'll never notice the tremble beneath her touch.

But behind his cruelty is a storm even he can't control. And buried in her silence is a secret that could ruin them both.

In a world where hate is easier than love, will their masks fall before their hearts do?

What will happen when he will know the truth? Will he leave her or regret every word he spilts on her?

PROLOGUE "I'm so sorry," he whispers over and over, "couldn't you just be by my side, it wouldn't have happened, love" His words were a torrent of longing, he didn't seem pleading for forgiveness and a chance to make things right. But the memory of his blank eyes, the cold steel of the blade, the excruciating pain that had ripped through my throat - it all came rushing back. "Why?" I rasped, my voice weak and croaky. I felt his grip tightening on me. "Because you looked like you forgot who you are destined to be, love, you belong to me I didn't mean to hurt you. I would never." he trailed off. My gaze fell to his hands, the ones that had held the blade, the ones that were now desperately holding onto me. I didn't know what to believe. He had tried to kill me and that man, yet he was now begging for forgiveness, It felt like a cruel joke, a twisted reality where love and violence coexisted. "You have to understand, that you are mine, you belong to me, and to no one else." I stared at him, seeing the raw desperation in his voice. And for a moment, a flicker of hope ignited within me. Could this be real? Could this man, who had tried to end my life, truly be sorry? He pulled me close, his arms holding me tight, his body shaking with the force of his emotions. "I love you," he whispered again, his words a plea, a promise. "Say it back chéri" he said as i could see his eyes getting darker. "I-i lov-e yo-u to-o" My throat still felt like sandpaper, my body ached, but the fear that had gripped me was starting to recede. This was a chance, a gamble. A chance to see if his love could truly atone for his actions. A chance to see if this shattered love could be rebuilt, piece by piece, from the ashes of betrayal. "That's like my love" he said as he caressed my cheeks, I can not do anything I closed my eyes, and in the silence of the room, I held onto that hope, that sliver of a chance that maybe, just maybe, love could heal even the deepest wounds.
