No. 05: A Study in Vanishing

When sixteen-year-old Avery Sinclair transfers to the prestigious and peculiar Bellgrave Academy, she expects long nights of Latin, old books, and lectures. What she doesn't expect is to be assigned Locker No. 5--a rusted, forgotten relic buried in the East Wing's decaying halls.

With the help--and sometimes hindrance--of a secretive archivist's assistant, a watchful prefect, and her skeptical roommate, Avery plunges into a shadow world beneath Bellgrave's polished surface: whispered legends of hidden floors, a faculty member who disappeared from the Observatory Tower, and the haunting ruins of a chapel that still speaks in forgotten tongues.

But the deeper she searches, the more Avery begins to fear she isn't just uncovering someone else's obsession.

She's inheriting it.

And something at Bellgrave doesn't want to be found.
