Aoki Fujiwara is a second year at Shujin Academy and general outcast. He is often more into books than any sports, and spends his time writing. A lot. He doesn't believe it to be anything good. He just tries to avoid going home, where he is either ignored or yelled at depending on the day. He finds comfort in pessimism and a superiority complex. Things have been beating him down, until a new student arrives at his school; a transfer student with a criminal record by the name of Akira Kurusu. From there, his life is turned on its head, but he's just excited to see where things go.
