Abyss Depth

A long time ago, an unnamed century, Earth faced a cataclysmic event that caused sea levels to rise and the atmosphere to expand. The lush landscapes and sprawling cities were replaced by a world on the brink of a watery abyss.

As civilization evolved, people from diverse backgrounds migrated underground, collaborating with scientists to harness geothermal energy. They built vast underground cities with bioluminescent technology, artificial day-night cycles, and subterranean gardens, preserving surface biodiversity.

However, resource scarcity became a critical issue. Tension arose between those in advanced habitats and those in makeshift communities, leading to resentment and civil unrest. A charismatic leader emerged, advocating for equitable resource distribution and political reform, pushing the submerged world to the brink of upheaval.

Meanwhile, some chose to live on the surface, known as "Refugees." They built thriving communities on floating rafts, equipped with essential facilities like hydroponic farms and schools-balancing simple pleasures with the challenges of survival. Many surface dwellers originally came from the Depths, while others moved there seeking new opportunities.
