Shalom Milena D. Alonzo, an electronics engineering student who has an intimidating aura is often viewed as someone who will commit no mistakes, someone who will always be on top, and someone who will bag those awards. But, Shalom is more than that.

Dahil lumaking over achiever, mataas ang expectations ng mga parents ni Shalom. Also, due to her past relationship that destroyed her as being the top 1 in the batch, Shalom's parents told her to not have a boyfriend until she finishes her studies.

In college life, she will meet the man in a nursing uniform-- River Caevrhyn A. Medina. He is someone who's naturally caring and kind to other people. Mahal na mahal niya ang kaniyang kurso kaya pinapakita niya ito sa mga tao. He makes sure that everyone is taking care of their health. He makes sure that everyone is healthy.

Dahil sa pagiging mabait ni River sa iba, Shalom will think that all he showed for her was nothing special, because he also does it for everyone else.

Shalom will later fall in love with River but will not fight for them due to her parents' order. River, on the other hand, has a fear of abandonment due to his mom leaving them without any traces.
