Rainbow Dash never expected much when she first wandered into the old house on the edge of town. It was just an old place, right? Nothing special. But when Trixie Lulamoon dared her to spend a night there for a sleepover, Rainbow couldn't resist. What she didn't know was that the house had a history, and it wasn't going to let her off that easily.

She wasn't expecting anything specific, until she met "Applejack". Applejack wasn't the haunting, ghostly presence Rainbow had expected. Instead, she was warm, grounded, and surprisingly real like an old friend she'd never met.

They didn't know what else could happen besides being friends with each other.

"You've always been a brave one. But falling for a ghost... that's a whole other kinda bravery."

Rainbow laughed, a little nervous, but she felt at ease in AJ's presence. It was like nothing else mattered when they were together. And then, in the quiet of the night, with only the sound of their shared breath filling the space, Rainbow whispered, "Promise me that you'll always be there for me, Applejack. No matter what."

Applejack's smile widened, her eyes glistening with something that felt like a promise, even without words. "Always, Rainbow. I'll always be here."
