Deep within the heart of an ancient forest, a secret laboratory pushes the limits of human experimentation. With the help of another test subject-Darwin, a mutated yet loyal aquatic companion-Gumball must escape the nightmare the lab has become. Along the way, he confronts the truth about his transformation, the horrifying experiments conducted in secret, and a mother who never meant to lose him. But something darker brews inside him-a monstrous version of himself, known only as Nightmare Ball, waiting to be unleashed.
