"Solswept" is an upcoming atompunk series, co-authored with my husband, Max Gonzalez. Set in the retro-future universe of the "Family Of Earth" series (three decades after the climactic hijacking of the infamous Ruby lift in "Ruby Descent"), this saga follows the adventures of a rebellious group of teens from Mars who do things their own way, no matter what. From their wild youth of drag races and dares, they grow wiser and bolder and ultimately help to pioneer humanity's first interstellar voyages. These kids face an exciting but uncertain future in the face of corporate corruption. In spite of it all, the spirit of rock n' roll never dies, and it will guide them through the challenges ahead.

This book contains various short stories set in the world of the upcoming series. Here we'll intro the characters and the often precarious lives they lead.

All of these works have been written for The Pub's SciFi Smackdown, a contest in which contestants write Science Fiction stories meeting the specifications laid out by the smackdown's host, @ForbiddenPlanet. Travis and Katelyn got married a few months later and had a daughter that they named Mel. Kawaii-Chan and Zane got married and had their son Vance Ro'meave. Rylan and June got married as well and they had a daughter who was half werewolf and half Meif-wa they named her April. These kids are now in high school and they went to Phoenix Drop High. Also, later on in this story Red Dragowolf will return to stay now that his mission is just about over and his list of over eight billion villain names who attacked his universe and caused it to implode crossed off his list. And yes he has a vendetta against those eight billion villains who attacked his home universe. Evita isn't ready to leave.
