They say opposites attract-Vivian wishes they didn't.

Vivian Pham was what you would call an overachiever. She was put together, a perfectionist, and student council vice president. She was the kind of girl that had her future set and planned. Aiden Nguyen on the other hand? Her total opposite. He was the school jock. Popular, athletic, and charming. Always late to his basketball games and had a reputation for never taking anything seriously.

They've never gotten along - in fact, they quite literally hate eachother. Their parents were old family friends, basically the reason why they even acknowledge eachother in the first place. Their parents favor the other child, only adding to the fuel. The constant comparisons only add tension each time they face eachother.

But when Vivian finds out her long-time crush had eyes on someone else for prom, one who happens to be everything she's not, the panic settles in. And Aiden on the other hand? He's in deep trouble after rumors are spreading about him like wildfire for hooking up with a girl that he didn't know the name to. The solution? They fake date eachother to fix their own messes.

The more time they spend together, the more they realize they aren't pretending. But when old secrets come out and the relationship feels too real, they both ask themselves: were they ever even pretending?
