Sophia never planned on seeing him again.

After her parents discovered the truth about her addiction, she left Newcastle behind and moved to London with nothing but a suitcase, a handful of lies on her CV, and a desperate hope that she could start over. For a while, it worked. A stable job, a new city, and no reminders of the life she'd abandoned.

Until one night changed everything.

A chance encounter in a crowded club throws her face-to-face with Will-her old friend, her almost-lover, the boy who knew every ugly part of her and stayed anyway. The one person she never managed to forget.

As old feelings resurface and their friendship slowly begins to mend, Sophia finds herself leaning on Will more than she ever intended. When her carefully constructed life starts to fall apart and she loses the job she'd built everything around, Will makes her a promise: he'll help her put the pieces back together.

But recovery isn't simple, and neither is love.

Piece by piece, Sophia must learn how to heal, how to forgive herself, and how to trust that she deserves a future. And somewhere between late-night conversations, shared memories, and a friendship stitched back together, she begins to realise that maybe Will was never just a friend at all.
