Look, I didn't know I was a witch. 

I didn't know that the Harry Potter world was real. I didn't know that I possessed powers Voldemort wanted. 

All my life I thought Harry Potter was a children's book series and Harry was a brave guy with a scar and Dumbledore was a complicated person and Hermione was a know-it-all and Draco didn't have a choice and Ron was our king and Voldemort was a bald, noseless guy hungry for power.

I didn't know that somewhere in the universe, alongside normal muggle life, it was actually happening. So naturally when Rubeus Hagrid hands me my letter of Third year, my reply was, "Are you kidding me?" 

But he was not. 

Then somehow I was time travelled back to 1994 and I started changing the foretold. 

Because, after all, I was the Girl of the second prophecy. 

I was meant to stop the war.

"Tom and Matt will be here soon." I threatened him. My voice was firm but I was so scared inside and it felt like he could see the war raging inside me. Do I give in to him? He is my father after all. It isn't his fault he lost to a baby and left us with Rodolphus. My blood boiled at the thought of him. His face twisted into a cruel smirk which confirmed my decision. I could have asked them for this task but you have always been my favourite, even as a baby." My stomach curled at listening his voice.
