Shinichi caught sight of the card gun which KID pulled slowly out of his jacket and his breath hitched; Shinichi got into a defense position to dodge possible cards. "...are in my way." *** The first KID heist after two months of absence. But something is off. Suddenly explosions are audible and Shinichi realizes KID's true plan the same moment he bursts onto the roof. It wasn't the latest target Kaitou KID wanted. It was Shinichi's death. Shinichi glared at the white clad thief, trying to find some sort of emotion in that stupid pokerface of his. And yet, all he did was smile, taking a step towards the detective. "All I can say is... my time seems to be running out. I don't know what it means... I don't know what will happen. I guess..." He paused, lingering for a moment to collect his words. Even the warmth of this beautiful summer night was not going to ease any of them. "...I guess we'll just have to find out." *** While KID seems to have quite the trouble finding Pandora, something else falls just into his lap. Touching this gem with his bare hands might not have been his best idea... The moment he woke up the next day, he could see a timer engraved into his skin, magically counting down second per second. Did KID have the slightest clue what the timer was for? No. Did he panic? Of course he did. Especially the longer the timer was running, the more secrets he seemed to uncover about the second magical gem he had ever known about.

Abandoned by his childhood friend Aoko after revealing his identity to her and her alone, Kaito's only and very last task is to guard his half of the gem he splitted several years ago, the blue diamond named "Soul". Maybe it was a curse. Maybe it was fate. Maybe eternal life doesn't sound as bad. *** "...Kaitou KID. It's you, right?" His sapphire eyes smiled even if his face kept a perfect pokerface. Kaito tilted his head, silent, shadowing his face as perfect as always. The colour of his eyes was disturbing, glowing, reflecting the moonlight casted upon them.
