The Doctor Of East Hadena [MXM] [SERIAL KILLER] ✓ by alydae
44 parts Complete Mature
Camilo Carter is The Doctor of East Hadena, one of the deadliest serial killers the city has ever seen. He's excellent at what he does, with no signs of getting caught any time soon. He thinks he has it all figured out, sees himself as almost bulletproof. He's never slipped up, never come remotely close. Camilo is untouchable. That is, until the really hot lead investigator of his case moves in across the hall. ~ "Perfect," he tells me, tone low. My heart practically stops beating in my chest. "I meant you're perfect." Decari doesn't know. He has no idea how untrue that is, how far off. He doesn't know, and he can't know. He can't ever fucking find out! He just can't, and I'm terrified that if I let this continue any longer... I'll get too comfortable. Too secure. I can never allow myself to doubt his loyalty to the law. If I'm to give in, I need to promise myself that. I take a step forward, and we're so close like this that I can feel the heat of his body. I finally move my gaze up to his eyes, which look a lot darker like this. He is entirely focused on me, and I don't think he even realizes he does it, but his hand drops from my face and finds its way to my hip a moment later. The world seems to disappear as I look into his eyes, deciding to warn him one last time. "You'll change your mind." ~ [WARNINNGS: definitely blood and gore etc since the book is about a serial killer, there will also be heavy topics like abuse and sexual assault, not graphic. also smut of course]

WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

HIGHEST RANKING: 303 IN SCIENCE FICTION Isaac Crowley is your average 15 year old boy. He is a sophomore in high school, plays sports, and hangs out with his friends. Everything in his life is in control, and he knows that he has a bright future ahead. Then the dreams start happening. His best friend Lucy gets hit by a car. He dreams it, and then, it happens again two days later. He tells his parents, his friends, anyone that he can, but they all think that it's just a coincidence. These dreams begin to happen regularly, and the mounting suspense drives Isaac crazy as he tries to diffuse the situation inside his dreams, find someone that he can trust, and prove to his parents that something's wrong. This is the original version of my most successful book; Reuploaded. I originally unpublished it for the rewriting process and moved this version to a new draft so I could work on the book. (Which is why this book doesn't have any of the same comments or votes as the rewrite). If you're here to (re)read this version, thank you! Your support even on my old writings is very appreciated. I don't have the old book description, but here's the gist: ••• Prince Kai Smith longs to escape the suffocating castle atmosphere and live his life adventuring, but his betrothal and kingdom inheritance prevents him from doing so. That is, until he's nearly assassinated. Soon after, the King calls for Ninjago's greatest heroes to protect Kai and his sister from possible danger. Lloyd Garmadon, the Green Ninja and leader of the infamous ninja team, is one of the chosen ninjas tasked with protecting the royal family. He's assigned to Prince Kai-heir to the throne and charming in his cockiness. Things go well at first, but then danger once again emerges-this time inside the royal family's inner circle. When put in the face of danger once again, Kai and Lloyd are forced to work together in order to make it out alive and save Ninjago from a devastating fate. ••• ---------- #1 for greenflame (held for 3 days) #1 for kaixlloyd (obtained four times) #2 for Ninjago Started: December 9, 2020 Finished: never, ended at chapter 25
The Gifts of Mortality by eleanorkennedy14
20 parts Complete
The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.
