"Please don't do this." I begged, as tears streamed down my face, making my mascara run. My eyes traveled from his face, that handsome boyish face, down to the floor. Down to the dead bodies. "Oh God," I choked, my life flashing before my eyes, as I felt his fingers slip from my shoulders down to the knife. He put it to my throat gently, so that he didn't cut it. Yet. "I'm sorry." He muttered. "Please...." I begged. "Please." His lips pressed against mine, and I shuddered against him. Dear God, Please don't let this happen.

This is the story of how I met him. The story of how he stole my heart, just as carelessly as he stole peoples lives away from them. Maybe. Maybe not. When I think about it, I still smile. Even though I know the sad and terrible ending, I can't help but smile. He was my best friend. He was so loving. So caring. He taught me everything. But, he also destroyed everything. He was just like that. He was just the mass murder that loved me, and that's how I'll always remember him. I dare say, that's how I'll always cherish him.

"I don't think you know who you're fucking with." He said simply not dropping the gun as the veins stuck out from below the skin of his bare arm. "I've killed people before." He laughed under his breath "I've killed lots of people before, what makes you think that I wouldn't kill you right now." "I think that if you actually wanted me dead, you would have killed me a long time ago." I replied without thinking. "You don't scare me." I lied "I know guys like you, they pretend to be all tough but deep down they're actually soft and mushy, like a little marshmallow" my words came out like vomit. What am I saying, he has a gun he could kill me, I really shouldn't be testing him but I couldn't help myself, I always knew my smart ass mouth would get me killed one day. God, today is that day. "I know girls like you." He started as he completely brushed off my insult "They get drunk at parties, and listen to the lies some fuck boy tells just to get pussy, you girls then believe those lies and jump on top of his dick like it the only one in the world, said fuck boy then pulls up his zipper and goes out to find Amanda the girl he's in love with, leaving you to wonder the streets drunk and used until you find yourself in a doughnut shop alone, incapable of standing on your own two feet." He half smiled "So what did he tell you? Lemme guess, he loved you, Right? That's the famous one." He shrugged, still holding the gun. My heart filled with hurt as I stood before him, I felt a lump in my throat as tears began to glisten up my bright hazel eyes but I quickly pushed it down. I was hurt by his words not because it was entirely true but because parts of it were. ****** •Language.

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. "Now, now. With those tears, who could resist comforting you? Did you use this trick on Mr. Rathi?" He smirked, mockingly staring into my eyes. "In just 48 hours? You've sharpened your skills." I felt disgusted. He thinks so little of me. Yes, I made a mistake-a mistake I cannot erase-but it wasn't what he thought it was. As I wallowed in self-pity, his voice cut through my thoughts again. "You've just wasted 10 minutes in your little game. We'll extend the detention until 09:12, he said with a victorious smile. "But... I have an indoor class at 09:15," I tried to explain, but he cut me off. "You should have thought about that before playing your love games with your muse. This training academy isn't for faint hearted like you. It makes an officer from a citizen. You are not worthy of it and I will prove it." I was silent. I had no response. I would never be able to change his mind. There would never be a chance to clear this misunderstanding. It would never be enough to prove my innocence-that I didn't try to ... "10 rounds. You have until 09:12," his voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I nodded. I had no other option. As I jogged around the track, my mind drifted back to a time when things were different. When I was different. Six years ago... I saw him for the first time in the bustling corridors of the college campus. He was tall, confident, everything I wasn't. I remember the way he smiled at me, so effortlessly. It was the beginning of something, something I thought would last... But then everything changed. One mistake-one terrible misunderstanding-and he hated me for it. The warmth in his eyes turned to ice, and now, that ice was all I saw whenever he looked at me.

He once told me no one knows the real him.I didn't think he meant it, and not in a good way. He is a straight A student, and everyone knows it, not to mention he is on the swim team. All that though isn't the real him, the real him hides deep within himself. ---------- "Can you please tell me what that was?" I nearly shout at him. All I get is silence. He keeps his back to me. "Please, I need some explanation." I beg. I stay still as he stops dead in his tracks. His body is tense and it's scarring me. He turns around slowly to face me with his hands at his sides. His eyes meet mine, but there is no spark of any emotion in them. They are cold and dark making me look away not being able to hold his deadly stare. I feel uneasy under his gaze, and i feel his eyes burning a hole in the side of my face. "No, I won't explain because it's not important." He says in a low, almost, growl. I flinch and look back into his eyes. I feel hurt by his words and I don't know why, but I know he sees it in my eyes. His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?" He questions raising an eyebrow at me. "You haven't hurt me." "Yet." He mutters, but I roll my eyes.

Why did he kidnap me? This happened 3 months ago. Many times I have tried to escape the clutches of his rough hands. Many times I have cried for help. I wanted to kill him, to make him suffer the way he made me suffer. "Do it, kill him!" Is what I'm thinking. "Kill him and it will be over. I will be able to escape." The mask that was hiding his identity looks at me as I hold the knife to his throat. The whole time I been wondering why I didn't just slit his throat. He told me to do it, to finish him but I couldn't, I just couldn't. I couldn't hate him for the times he whipped me or raped me. I just couldn't. I looked at him holding the knife to his throat with a shaky hand. No matter how hard I try I can't hate him. No matter how hard I try I can't get the knife to slice Reidson's throat. Dropping the knife on the floor I look at his face. I couldn't see his eyes because of the white mask. Now the same hands that used to be so rough became soft and warm. I sat in the library. There was not a single person in sight. There was just complete, suffocating silence. Then the silence shattered when I heard loud footsteps. Each step got louder and louder. I looked up and saw . . . Max. He stood right before of me. His hair held in a slick quiff and his beautiful lips curved in a grin. My heart started to beat rapidly. I watched him hopelessly as he bent down, towards me, near me. His face inches away from me. I could feel his cold breath on my face. "You still love me, don't you?" He asked in his deep voice. The answer was yes, I did love him. . . but I can't tell him that. I don't want him to repeat all the things he did to me. I don't want him to make me cry for hours. But will he love me for real this time if I forgive him? If I don't forgive him, will I ever forget him? Will I ever be able to give love a second chance? "Okay, I admit that the description was horrendous. But please don't let the description prevent you from reading this, please give this story a try. Please?"
