This story is based on the Child ballad "Sweet William's Ghost", specifically the version by Cara on the album "Long Distance Love".

This is one of my NaNoWriMo 2015 stories, so hasn't been edited at all at time of posting. Feedback welcome if you bear this fact in mind! Why is this story SF? I have no idea. It just seemed like a good idea at the time.All Rights Reserved
