Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than fresh and unaltered genetic codes. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. Yet, despite humanity's best efforts to adapt to this new system- cities plummeted to the ground, nations were obliterated in chaotic arrays of fire, countries infected by the scourge of madness brought about by meaningless war. Humanity was driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to survive these conditions, humanity came up with something to protect them. Colonies. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...

Or not, you're choice. Everything in this novel will be accompanied by the actual scenes from the Netflix series TWD. (Cut scenes, etc.) There will be time skips to keep the readers (and myself) interested. 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘹 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳?? 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬: 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 ●○●○●○●○ And so it begins. I always imagined the end of the world being something out of the Bible or movies. I even imagined and mentally prepared myself for a Zombie apocalypse. Which, I guess is what this was... News reports live all over the world showing cases and recordings of hospital patients or people on the streets attacking one another. Eating their flesh then attacking other people, while the ones who got bit and died came back and started attacking the ones who ran- and didn't. Even those in the military didn't stand a chance. It would have been almost horrifying if it weren't for the fact that I was so unattached to everything. Now I'm alone...

What will happen when Mabel, a 17 year old girl dizzied by heroin and suicidal ideation, meets Josh, a 17 year old boy who simply wanted a fresh start? A god damn mess is what happens. God complexes, withdrawals, relapses, sexual discovery, and awkward laughter ensue as you follow their fuckups. **completed. started editing it but lets be honest I'll never finish** *****There are some triggers in the story including: Depression, Drugs, Self harm, and suicidal thoughts/actions. The drug use doesn't have continual trigger warnings as the story revolves around drugs. The rest I've tried to point our ahead of time. There may be more so feel free to ask questions before reading***** *mad thanks to @stillgotlegs for making my cover* Side note: the first few chapters are pretty bad but it kinda gets better #1 in josh ramsay #2 in marianas trench
