Tatiana, a Grand Duchess of Russia is promised in marriage to the Prince of Wales. At the age of ten, she sails from her homeland to England to learn the customs of the land of which she is to be queen. Years later, the alliance is revised with Spain joining hands with Russia and England. She must now wed the young King of Spain. The new matrimonial alliance is politically more beneficial but it fails to take into account the hearts of two royals who grew up together thinking they were to wed. Now, they must choose between love and duty and decide if desire is truly a just cause for war.
