So this is a short piece that I wrote for one of my English exams a couple years ago. It had to be inspired by a piece of poetry and so I chose the poem 'Stopping by the woods on a snowy evening' by Robert Frost.
This short is told form the point of view of a little boy during WWII.

'I begged my mother to let me go out and play that day. If I only I knew what was round the bend...'

It is purely fictional and any resemblance to anything is purely accidental.

❄ Born out of twigs and leaves she had to stop her worst enemy. Follow her story together with her fellow guardian friends at a big adventure. We humans think we all know about 'The' Guardians. Those who will protect the children of the world. You can ask yourself the question: Are those five important people, legends, the only one who protect the children from evil? Let your imagination run wild. Are there more guardians out there who haven't reached a place in the spotlight yet? No one knows...yet. Legends who can't be seen by those with a limited imagination won't stand a chance against evil. It's time that the world will know the whole story. Read, think, let your imagination flow and share the world the other side of the story. Take my hand and let me guide you as your guardian. Blaze White is the New Girl at the Prep school in her mothers old home town. But her only goal for senior year is to keep a low profile, no friends, no parties and NO boys. Axel may be adored and worshipped by his peer-but he hates people, except 5. So when a beautiful but closed off girl suddenly enters his group. He is not welcoming of the mysterious beauty despite the pull they both feel. •••• WARNING: This was written many moons ago. I have decided to put it back up because of a large request from readers. However, I was a kid when I wrote this so take it with a grain of salt. *** Like a deer in head lights, I freeze and watch as the car comes towards me expecting to get hit. But to my surprise, the car swerves to the side slightly next to me and comes to a stop. I take a deep breath I didn't know I was holding at the driver's side door swings open and a very pissed off Axel steps out. "Thank god," I mumble and place my hands on my knees to catch my breath. "Blaze?" He says and I hate it. I hate how he says my name as if it's his. Like he knows it's the only thing I want to hear, him calling out to me, looking at me, focused to me. It's the first time in my life I wanted someone's attention so badly I didn't care how I got it. And that was too dangerous for me to hold onto. "Are you insane or some shit? I could have killed you!" He says and starts to walk towards me. I take a big breath and step back away from him, "s-stop! Axel," I stutter still panting. It's then he notices the blood on my hands and shirt. "Is that blood?" He asks staring at my shirt and I take another step back. "Stop, stay b-back," I try to say confidently but I can't even breath right. Realizing he won't listen I start to turn around planning to make a break for it. "Don't run from me Blaze it won't go well," he growls reading my thoughts causing me to freeze in my spot. "Do not ever think you can get away from me."

"You had no right to do that," I snap, trying my best to out walk him. His chuckle was loud behind me and his hand griped on my forearm, stopping me. Something about his warmth gave me chills all over my body. Something I don't think I ever wanted in the first place. Especially from him and especially now. "Yes I did, and I still do." His hard grip around my arm loosened, and snaked up to lock his fingers through my hair. Oh Momma, what is happening? Being this close to him has been happening way too often for normal. Still, I couldn't break away from this close contact, I was frozen, shocked. "What makes you think that?" My question hit him with humor, and instead of fully responding, he leans his face closer to mine. The smirk on his face stayed once he noticed the affect he had on me. "Because," he whispers out pressing our bodies together. "I'm your Secret Santa," he licks his lips as if he's hungry, then continues, "I can give you anything I want to give you." His free arm wraps around my waist, and he lifts me up during the action before pressing our lips together. The main character is Kimberly. She's an accident prone person who wants nothing but to enjoy her winter. Her friends want the best for her after a terrible break up they witnessed. Every year they all hold the traditional Secret Santa. Somebody from the group believes that they are what Kimberly needs. This is about Kimberly and her crazy winter story about her not so Secret Santa.

This is a compilation of all the essays and notes I wrote while I was in ALevels. It must be noted that not all of of these are A* material (though none goes lower than a grade B) so they aren't meant to be copy pasted for your school assignments. Use them as a review or to learn more about the novels, plays and poems you are analysing. Feel free to discuss and critique all the essays in this compilation, it'll help you learn new ideas and broaden your perspective of the material. Communication is the key! This is solely for helping ALevel literature students as I remember the pain of not being able to find enough reference material on the web, if you want to contribute to it feel free to message me it would be much appreciated. This includes essays and notes on the following texts: 1. Robert Frost's selected poems 2. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri 3. Philadelphia Here I Come! by Brian Friel 4.
