Beatrice Prior is a princess. Great, right? Wrong. Of course her parents are nice, the King and queen, but they work all day. Her brother's the same as he is next in line for the throne. Beatrice is alone all day, everyday.

All Beatrice has ever wanted was a friend but when she is never allowed to go outside or go to normal school, it makes making friends quite difficult.

When the King and queen start to receive death threats they have no choice but to order bodyguards to protect them.

Beatrice hopes to get someone she can be friends with but it turns out to be a very closed off boy her age named Tobias. Beatrice makes it her mission to become his friend but it proves to be quite difficult.

The Prior and Eaton Kingdoms have been at war since the start of time. To ensure safety for his people and his family, King Andrew has decided that his daughter be married off to a suitor of his choosing at the Royal Prior Ball. Princess Beatrice is unhappy with his decision but what will happen when she meets the son of her family's biggest enemy at the ball? Will she act like generations before her have done or will she choose to do something different? All rights go to Veronica Roth and Shakespeare...
