She's smart, she's witty and she's sick of watching egotistical witches and wizards preying on those who can't -- or, in this case, won't -- stand up for themselves.

Rose Weasley just can't understand why Scorpius Malfoy lets people walk all over him and she's determined to get to the bottom of it.

That is, until their first conversation consists of rudeness and hostility, and Rose begins to think that all her efforts to defend him were for nothing.

But there's more to Scorpius than meets the eye, and a pathetic squabble over a Charms book might just be the thing that shows her that.

In which the prized Gryffindor beauty is given up to Slytherin's venomous prince. ❝Don't you know, darling? Scorpions are venomous. You're much more like me than you think; after all, every Rose has its thorns.❞ Scorpius Malfoy has a secret about fifth year. To protect it and to prevent any more damage, he pushes Rose out of The Silver Trio. When seventh year rolls around, he realizes that this is his last chance to make things right. So he places a bet for Rose to live with him should Slytherin win the quidditch match against Gryffindor. Rose Granger-Weasley is absolutely appalled. She's a tough biscuit but living with Scorpius, who erased her existence from memory once sixth year started, isn't exactly her first choice in flatmates. To uphold Gryffindor's honor, however, she chooses to stay with him. Even if it means entering the den of many sins: pride, lust, greed... and now murder.
