Last year: Kurt and Kerri have come clean, telling each other 'I love you' and now they're closer than ever, hardly being apart, and another piece of good news came; Kurt was chosen to take over as the new Drama teacher after Professor LeBeau leaves at the end of this year.

This year: now Kurt is going to be a teacher and Kerri is still a student. Of course, teacher-student relationships are not allowed, and Scott is determined to make sure that the rules are followed to the letter, so what are they going to do?

The solution seems clear; keep quiet and don't kiss. It's going to be hard, but they really love each other, and Kitty and Piotr made it for a year and a half, they can do it for only one.

Scott seems to have it in for Kerri, though, and watches them like a hawk, waiting for them to toe a boundry, and Kurt tells Kerri that he thinks it would be better to not be together while they stick it out.

Only, what's that Kerri sees in the library? Is Kurt really flirting with another student? Couldn't be, right? But now she's doubting if it's really the rules that made them break up, even though Kurt insists that he still loves her.

Then Kerri runs into a boy they met a while ago and he asks her out on a date. At first she refuses, but decides that maybe she should try to get over Kurt...

Unlike his peers, Kurt's obvious physical mutation was something he was both praised and tormented for. His past is riddled with suffering, but what happens when events force him to reveal himself and tell his story to his friends in order for them to help him heal. Do they understand what it really means to be considered a monster? (I really enjoyed the show Xmen Evolution, but I think there was a missed opportunity for them to delve into Nightcrawler's backstory. This is a slightly darker tone than the show, but how I would go about his origin. And as if that wasn't enough, there are soon plenty of resurfacing villains, inner demons, and terrorism and prejudice to keep everyone just barely on the edge of sanity. Shine and Wally struggle to earn the trust of the X-men, even while they are being undermined by both inside and outside forces, and put to the test by other groups of embittered mutants, such as the Morlocks. The appearance of Mystique poses a new set of challenges, especially as they try to work with Nightcrawler and some other new faces with problems and setbacks of their own. Will they be able to pull this off and will the world be better or worse for their interference? Only one way to find out: (Feels like these intros are about as cheesy as the actual comic lines usually are, so I guess it fits the genre, lol)
