Freshman year always seems to be the hardest, or so Darla has been told. Starting her first year in high school doesn't seem so bad, especially since she's in band and she has her long time friend Gerson at her side, but once she starts hanging out with the wrong people everything changes. Her relationship with Gerson soon gets ruined as as they are introduced to the ways of peer pressure. The only thing that keeps them together is the marching band, but what happens when even them, their "family" becomes distant? What happens when the one person whom she trusts, maybe even loves, is taken away from her?

18 parts Complete

Dee has always been that one weird kid. Nerdy, clumsy, awkward, has anxiety and hiding big secrets. When her older brother Patrick starts dating a girl from town, Dee doesn't believe him one bit. That was until she met her. The big "HER" Dee is thrown away by Jen's beauty, and she immediately has a crush on her. Problem is, Jen's with Patrick, she wouldn't ever like her. After the young couple split up, Dee and Jen become best friends. One night at Jen's house, dark secrets come out and life changing events take place. Jen makes a positive impact on Dee and her life, and she eventually falls in love with her. Problem is that Patrick, who's gone mad with a drug addiction, is on to them. Will he destroy their bond or will they manage to shut him out? This isn't a masterpiece and is kinda shitty so I apologize if its cringey in places. Anyway, hope you enjoy the book. Slight trigger warning due to talk about depression and anxiety
