To Defy Gravity is a book set in the point of view of Sage Carter, who is a teen with a troubled mind due to a riding accident when she was fourteen. When she keeps having nightmares and waking up in cold sweats at four in the morning her mother and guidance counsellor suggest that she takes on the fear head first. After long discussions, arguments and mental breakdowns Sage finally agrees to go to a stable called Canterbury Crest where she meets a stallion that ignights the spark that had been sitting in her heart ever since she stopped sitting in the saddle; so with ambition and fear Sage takes on the challenge and rises to try and gain respect and happiness.
