"Had a nice swim?" He asks, a smirk on his face. I could literally slap him right now.

"Bitch, you pushed me," I say breathlessly, my body shaking from the cold water.

He just looks amused, as he takes a step closer to me. "Language," he says, his voice almost a whisper, "there's children here."

Opal Rodriguez, the girl who's just trying to get through high school like the rest of us.

Until Nathan Adams moved to the house right in front of hers, basically becoming a part of her life.
With him, he brought his smirk, his cocky attitude, his hoe magnet, and a cute little sister.

She wanted a relaxing day at the pool.
He kind of ruined it.

What was just a dare, grew into a strange friendship between these two.
Maybe even more than that.

"So your go!" She said, smiling up at me brightly. "Wait what?" I answered with a look of confusion playing upon my face. "Well I just poured my heart out to you..." Fran said cheekily with a wink. "Now it's your go, come 'on Beadle, out with it!" She said raising her eyebrows at me. "Well what do you want me to say?" I asked blankly. "Tell me why you sleep around and then break girls' hearts." She replied with the same perplexity as me, she then bowed her head down to rest on my chest again. She must have felt me tense next to her at her question so she lifted her head and our eyes met. She gave me a reassuring smile and I felt more at ease. "Well it's pretty simple really." I said, pausing dramatically. "I break girl's hearts so that they can't break mine first." I answered expressionlessly. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Fran is your typical good girl. She studies hard. "Did you just quote Mean Girls?" Noah asks, tilting an eyebrow. I smirk, passing over his coffee. "Did you just admit to watching Mean Girls?" Auden Baker thought that college would sail by swiftly and silently. When she arrived into her empty dorm room, it was perfect. The calm before the storm. Then Noah Dillon walked in. Arrogant, undeniably cute and terribly stubborn just like Auden. Things could still go right, yeah? I mean, there weren't really any problems. Except for the fact that she might be slowly falling in love with him. And that they declared a joking war. [cover made by yours truly]
