"When the stars retreat, and the moon bleeds blue. When love bows to a pure soul, free of vengeance, and hatred and sorrow," his words were ushered, as if he were telling her a secret, "Is when I'll be with you."

At the time, Aura didn't understand.

"Now run. Think of it like the catching games we used to play." He whispered, pressing a parting kiss to her creased forehead.

"Don't let them catch you."

So she ran.

But she never saw her father again.

Licking The Cactus - Dante And Seraphina

54 parts Complete

The room was thick with anticipation. Seraphina stood still, feeling Dante presence like a storm about to break. His eyes locked onto hers, a predator's gaze that made her pulse quicken. "Don't pretend you don't want this." His voice was a dark whisper that sent shivers down her spine. Her heart raced. She wanted to deny it, to push him away, but everything inside her screamed to give in. "You don't control me." Her voice faltered, even as she could feel the truth stirring within her. Dante smiled, dark and dangerous. "You've always belonged to me, Seraphina." Before she could respond, he stepped closer, the air between them charged with electricity. His lips crashed into hers, claiming her in a kiss that was both possessive and fiery. Seraphina gasped, her body betraying her. She didn't know whether to fight or surrender-her heart said both. But Dante wasn't giving her that choice. "You're mine now." His voice was low, dangerous, and his hands pulled her closer, taking her to the edge of something she didn't know she was ready for.
