"Dear Corinne, do you ever feel beautiful? Cuz you are. Stunning. I wish I could be stunning. Love, Leigh" Leigh is a full out eat-alone, grade eleven loser. She has one friend who has to divide her time between dozens of people. And Leigh feels anything but beautiful. But when her math teacher starts keeping her after class and pushing her past her limits, and a boy shows up to sit with her during lunch (and her lack of eating finally catches up with her), she doesn't know where to turn. So she spends her time writing hypothetical letters to the only person who has ever made her feel like she could be someone someday: her grade nine English teacher.

"Okay, you know what? You're such a jackass and I never should have kissed you," I say. Colton stands up. His green eyes are just as angry as mine are. "Then why did you?" he asks. "I don't know!" I yell. "Why did you kiss me back?" "Hey, you kissed me," Colton says. "We already established that! God! It's like talking to a wall. Whatever I say just fucking bounces right off of you!" I yell. "Do you have any idea how maddening you are?" Colton looks at me. "You don't think you're infuriating?" Colton asks. I narrow my eyes. He starts to walk towards the door. I grab the M&M's and chuck them at Colton. He whips around, his eyes blazing green. "Where the fuck are you going? We're talking!" I yell, crossing my arms. He rubs the back of his neck where the M&M's hit him. "You wanna talk? Fine. Let's talk," Colton says. "You're obviously messed up from all of the shit your mom did." "Maybe I am! It's not your fucking business!" I pause. "Why do you even care? You're just some manwhore, right? A fuckboy?" Colton laughs dryly. "Is that what you think I am?" he asks. He takes a step closer to me. I'm two seconds away from kissing him again. Andy Reed-Collins has never fit in. With both of her parents being doctors, she's grown up in the hospital and has more friends there than she does at her high school. But, when they become Biology partners, everything changes for Andy. As she spends more time with Colton, she can't deny their growing attraction to each other. The harder she tries to resist it, the more she's drawn to him. With his endlessly green eyes and knowing smirk, Colton sees through all of her walls. But just as Andy and Colton find each other, he turns out to be nowhere near perfect as he seems. Something's standing between her and Colton, and she's left with a choice. Will she choose him?

In the complicated jungle which we call high school one can find jocks, cheer leaders, Goths, nerds, athletes' etc. etc. and then there's me. Brittney Matthews. I would be described as the unimportant girl who keeps out of everyone's way and keeps to herself. It's not quite fun to be classified as 'unimportant' but its not hard to remove such status at West Point High. Make one mistake and you're scarred for the rest of your high school days. Thankfully graduations coming up and I'm almost done, but that's gona be a task when I'm failing the 'hated by all' Algebra I'm not the smartest of the bunch but I do well. It's not that I can't pass but the teacher teaching it; Mrs. Hastings, she's a real slug, she makes everything boring. I used to beg and plead for her to transfer from West Point High and then one day, (September the 10th to be exact) my wish actually came true and that was when EVERYTHING changed.
