**Originally Titled "Andréas"***

After facing time in juvie for a reckless crime he committed, Andréas is not ready to face his family. After his arrest, Andréas' father and his closest relatives had moved to Sacramento, California. Though his family got a fresh start, Andréas knew his past mistakes would forever haunt him. That is why he no longer is interested in rebuilding his close relationship with his cousin, Ortiz, who gave him away to the cops, and why he is so distant from his family. It also doesn't help that Andréas' father resents him for what he did to their family. Transitioning to a new environment and new school is the last thing Andréas wanted, so he would make an effort to remain stone-cold to keep people away. Filled with regret, shame, and misery, Andréas is completely different from the person he used to be before.

Lailah is a gifted seventeen-year old girl who aspires to be a famous singer one day. Yet, a music career is not what her parents want for her because they think it is a waste of time. Despite their lack of support, she plans to work hard writing and recording music to prove them wrong. Then she meets Andréas. The gorgeous, quiet new guy who walks alone in the hallways and never smiles. She is the only one who can see past his cold-hearted, frigid exterior and befriends him. Though intimate feelings begin to arise between them both, their differing lives threaten the possibility of them ever being together. Can their relationship survive the drama, loss, and heartbreak that life brings their way?
