I let out a cry for help. I never expected that person to be you. And I guess I should have stuck with that thought, because you weren't the one to care, or the one to finally stop my cries. You were the one who destroyed all my hope. Any hope I had left. But you stopped my crying alright, you stopped all my known emotions, and left me a confused teen with no sense of who she had become.

Cassie was the nice girl in school. With good grades, and a pushover attitude came the image of her being the go to girl. Everyone has one, even if you're not aware of it, she's there. The girl everyone goes to with their issues. The girl who is always forced to listen, but is never heard. The one everyone asks for advice, but never has any in return. The girl that gets called a bitch if she doesn't make time for you, even though she knows that she is going to get nothing in return, not even an acknowledgement in the hallway. The girl who knows everything. Everything about everyone. All their secrets, lies and attitudes. She is the girl everyone thinks they know, but truly knows nothing about.
Cassie... Keeper of the secrets. Keeper of the lies. And kidnapper of herself.

Dexter was the hated. Well hated by Cassie at least. Cassie and Dexter hated, and had avoided each other for 4 years. They never got to know each other, they never even had a conversation. And no, their families didn't hate each other, actually they didn't even know each other. It wasn't a friend's rivalry, nothing like that. I don't think they even knew. They didn't understand it themselves. It was just the way it was. Well until their second year of high school.

This isn't a story of young love between a bad boy and good girl. It isn't a high school romance. This is the story about friendship, starting with hate, and ending with a messed up love. A story about a high school, and how it changed in a year, and how two unexpected individuals changed the social operating system completely.
"We said whoever eats the most pizza has to do the dare no matter how cruel or easy it is." This is just a glimpse of our sleepovers. Ivy and Autumn always drag me into some kind of trap to do their evil dares. Tonight, they used my worst weakness, food.
Sighing, "fine. I'll take the dare." They cheered and high-fived as I stood in front of them, glaring.
"Better not be something bad!" I blurted, making them snap out of their cheering. They looked at me with a sinister smirk. The smirk where you know their up to something. Something bad.

Meet Jade Williams. Your average girl in every single way. She uses her weekends to binge watch on Netflix and takes her time binge snacking. In no way she would be considered perfect. Yes, sometimes she is picked on every now and then but nothing to extreme. Well despite the fact she has a crush on the most unexpected person. Bryan Jones, the schools bad-boy. He's basically a emotionless, fit brick dressed up in leather. Just your typical bad boy, right?
Her life changes from late nights on Netflix to possibly going out to parties because of two guys. Conner Peterson and Bryan Jones. The most anyone can do to keep her out of trouble is to pray. Not to mention the fact that her two dearest friends are two living and breathing dare making machines. How is Jade going to make it out of her senior year alive?

PSA: this book, to say the very least, is not my proudest work. i made this when i didn't know a thing about writing, let alone writing a whole story. it's simply a book you'd read if you wanted a quick sap and not something in depth. feel free to check out my other books - they're arguably way better than this one
