Is The Duke unraveling the centuries of pain and learning to feel something he has not felt before? Or is this another plot within a plot? While she knows the vampire treachery, Victoria begins to feel emotions she is scared of. Can she survive her year as a hostage to the vampire overlord? Can the vampire overlord survive a year without breaking his vows?
