Book One:

There is no prophecy. There is no tell-tale legend. There is no scripture written down in a book or a hidden cave. There is only the spoken word of the Gods. Dare not go against them, for life's very existence would be jeopardized. And the Gods never make mistakes. So why is everyone questioning their choices when it comes to a female?
Men with a courageous nature and determined mindsets have made their legacy and are talked about in stories; even after death, they live on. The Gods never make mistakes; however, people believe the Gods have made just that when a girl is chosen to fight in a man's war. For, there has never, in the history that has been written in books and along the walls of undiscovered caves, been a female dragon rider.

Keep up with me and my current projects by diving into this unedited story written by myself (acting as the "Dungeon Master" role, writing for most characters and developing story flow) and my friend @Elisabeth_Scamander aka Melody (writing for Moira, Ikatere, Melody, Edgar, Edmund, and Kahu) Set in a live action version of the HTTYD fandom, this is a gritty tale of war, vengeance, dragons, assassins, love, tragedy, humor, a touch of magic, and above all, adventure! I will continuously update this story based on how often my friend and I work on it but I thought some of you would find if fun to tag along and read this adventure of ours that we are having so much fun writing together! This is unedited so I'm sorry if there are grammar mistakes, typos, and mispellings. As well as some messages in parenthesis spotted throughout as we were talking to each other outside of the story. You will also see time stamps. There also might be spots where it says "missed call" and whatnot where we accidentally called the chat lol. This world is set in the past. In a time where nothing was impossible, Where dragons fly above our heads. We learned to ride them, and become friends with them. We created artifacts that make our dragos small and then big again when we need them. That's what sets our world into two sides. A side where dragon riders lived and flew on them. And a side where they hated dragons, and the one that rode them. Even though we managed to work in peace, there was no war between us. Only fights that were under control and rules. In the Arena in the city called Aeloria. A city where there were both sides. They mostly ignored each other. But it was hard to get in this city. Mostly it was the people that lived there. And a few outsiders, but that was either the sellers, chosen group of warriors or dragon riders, and lastly the best fighters of the academies that went into the arena. To prove who is stronger and the winner will receive high quality weapons or any other things of their choice. One day the darkness came and war started. Not between us, but with a kingdom that was across the sea. And this battle or war changed everything we knew. I'm Ardyn, I'm on the side where we ride on dragons. And this story can be easy but also hard to understand. But I will still share it. But first we have to start from the beginning. What will this story bring? Will we be able to see the outcome? I shook my head and took a step back. Leora sighed and shook her head in mocked amusement. "Are you telling me you are able to fly on a dragon. But you are scared of standing on a ship. Don't make me laugh." "Yes. So what, I'm not getting on." I said angry and she grabbed my hand and pulled me up. I grew up in a world where dragon riders were revered for not only their bravery and looks, but also for their intelligence. Children would spend days on end studying just in the hopes that they would get accepted to the Rider School, and those who did get accepted left their homes like kings, followed with respect and well wishes. It had been years since a dragon rider had been accepted in the Rider School from my town, which was understandable since we boasted a population of only 100 kids in the acceptable age range. Every year we were visited by the Counselor, the man who decided who would be accepted, and every year at that time our town lit up. Festivities lasted the Counselor's whole stay, with competitions to test children's intelligence, stamina, strength, and looks set up to look like games. Every year my brothers and I would be disappointed by our results, until my 15th year, when everything changed.... The Story is set in England in 1917... Twelve year old Marion Blount who has never found it easy to make friends. 'Trousers' already knows an awful lot about Marion, in fact a little too much for Marion's liking. Trousers wants to find out if Marion has the 'Knack' - a magical gift - like her ancestors had. She gives Marion the pair of magical rods and the challenge of seeing what she can so with them. But Marion has far more 'Knack' than Trousers anticipates and Marion and her friends very soon find themselves caught up in a dragon uprising and must do al they can to prevent the first dreadful act of destruction the rebel dragons are planning... On the World War 1 battlefields of France and Belgium it is not just soldiers dying. The Armageddon of a world war is unknowingly wiping out huge numbers of dragons that have lived secretly below ground for thousands of years. As a result England is being flooded with dragons fleeing the battlefield carnage. But with the dragon refugees comes talk of dragons returning to the Above, making war on humans and taking back their lands. A new dragon uprising is coming...
