Granger was crying again, soft, heavy sobs that she probably thought I couldn't hear, but I was sleeping on a mattress on the floor of her room. This time was worse than the rest and before I knew it I was lifting the covers up and sliding into bed next to her, my arms immediately wrapping around her tiny, shaking frame. Her soft brown curls pushed into my bare chest, but she turned around to face me and she buried her face into my chest, her tears running down my chest. I smoothed her hair and kissed her forehead, "It's all right, Hermione," my first time ever using her real name, "I'm here. I'm here. I'm here."

Hermione Granger, the Minster for Magic, needs a guardian. But it can't just be anyone, they have to be smart, brave, cunning, and loyal. Would Draco Malfoy be the first person she think of? Of course not. A former (now reformed) Death Eater, a bully of a Slytherin, and straight up mean. No, he was not the person Hermione thought of, but he does show promise. Even if Hermione does know what he does on his days off. She soon falls for him, hard. He calls her crazy, that he has a girlfriend, even if he's just using her. But they soon realize that they are more alike then they both realized...
THIS STORY IS ON HOLD FOR THE MOMENT.
"But all those things you said to me."
"It was all just a mask Hermione," I told her, "I had to say those things. I had to, because..." I thought about all the excuses I gave my guilty self, "...because I can't love you."
"But you do."
Draco Malfoy is only sixteen, yet he faces a decision that will affect the rest of his life. Does he choose his beloved family on their path of darkness and destruction, or does he stand by the girl he has been infatuated with for six years? The decision haunts him every night the lights go out in his dungeon dormitory. Over the summer before Draco starts his sixth year at Hogwarts, The Dark Lord gave Draco a mission that if he fails to complete would result in his death. Torn and terrified, Draco reaches out to his favorite and most trusted teacher, Professor Snape, who he hopes will help guide him down the perilous road ahead. Will Draco be able to spare his own life as well as the mudblood Hermione Granger, or will lose them both?
