A young  Navajo, named Bucky, so called for his first kill, as well as, being  spry as a young buck, as befriends Steve, the son of a poor farm woman. The tribe soon adopts Steve as one of their own. Bucky considers Steve to be his brother and watch keep. He worries for the small young man. When war breaks out, a call for Native American Braves takes place. Bucky, feeling the need to protect his people, but not wanting to leave Steve behind, waits until he is drafted. He becomes a Code Talker with a young American assigned to protect him. To both their amazement it is Steve. he is bigger and stronger because of the help of an old friend of Bucky's. the training is extensive and intense for the two friends. The question is, will they make it back home safely?

Natasha Romanoff is trying to coming to terms with that fact that the people who took her life from her aren't really gone. Bucky Barnes isn't dead, and he'd like to keep it that way.
