This story is not affiliated with the story the 5th Wave in anyway, begins with the same structure but ends differently. 
Set during present day in an AU. Clint Hill happens to live under his aunt's care as she looks over him. Raised as an orphan, his mother abandoned him because of his heritage and the black tattoo marks on his lower chest. It isn't till a series of alien strikes upon both the Western and Eastern Hemisphere of the planet called Earth does he finally test himself. Clint, taking his adoptive sister, escape barely into the burning wreckage of their home into the wilderness. But his loyalties and everything that he has questioned about himself and his heritage is about to forever tested. //still thinking about making this a trilogy

"What if you could change history?" Caroline Kennedy is only 18 years old when she, her brother, and some of her cousins, go back to 1962. They are sent by Senator a Edward M. Kennedy to prevent the Kennedy asassination and stop America's worst nightmares from coming true. They eventually gain their family's trust and are guided through the times of the Cuban Missle Crisis and the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's, guiding straight towards the JFK assassination. They will answer questions that people have asked before, "What if there was no Vietnam War?" "What if John Kennedy had lived?" "What if Bobby Kennedy did not run for president?" And what if you grew up with the father you never knew? They find that changing the past isn't as easy as it appears to be. Enemies are going to be made and allies do not trust them...
