Sehnsucht

Sehnsucht - "The inconsolable longing in the heart for we know not what"; a yearning for a far, familiar, non-earthly land one can identify as one's home. This is the longing of the snow goose, flying back and forth every year, always dogged by the blistering summer heat or the snappish winter chill. But home is never really far away - it's in the wind that carries the wings and the warmth within the soul.
