Sixteen-year-old Matthew has always wanted to see a tornado. So when he gets the incredible opportunity to go storm chasing with the famous Dr. Arthur Kirkland, he has to say yes! Dr. Kirkland is the host of Tornado Mysteries, the show that Matthew and his older brother, Alfred, watched every night until Alfred joined the U.S. Navy SEALs and left Joplin.
Matthew certainly knows how deadly tornadoes can be, but this one isn't heading toward Joplin, and wouldn't it be great to have a brave and exciting story of his own to tell Alfred when he comes home? How is America supposed to protect hundreds of people and himself against a storm that could kill people in a number of ways? And now a kid had moved him to become his caretaker. When Alfred became independent from England, France had muttered to him that he didn't know the pain of raising a child then losing it. But know, he assumes that he may just learn.
