A boy 16 years of age comes to the region of Alola with his mother for a fresh start in life. Alola's Island Challenge will be his very first Pokémon adventure, strange for a boy his age. He meets another boy who was also 16 and just starting his Island Challenge too, quickly becoming friends with him, and a mysterious girl who tags along with their Professor. Despite making new friends and going on an adventure, things don't stay as quiet as he is. Darkness and mysteries begin to arise as they go through their journeys together. He's learnt to trust his gut since he was younger, and some of the people he meet don't come off as nice as they look on the outside.
What's going to happen throughout this adventure? He's about to find out.

Fortunately, Gladion, the acting president of Aether, is on the case to stop Nihilego and send it back to its world. But along the way, he meets and recruits Chloe, finding her way with pokemon to be useful on his mission. But things don't go as smoothly as planned, especially when Chloe and Gladion realize they have a lot more in common than they initially thought. Will their partnership bloom into something more? Why are Nihilego popping up at random across Alola? Everything will get a lot more complicated when Chloe discovers just how much of her past is connected to all of this.
