WHEN AN UNLIKELY SUITOR....

The Earl of Stokeford is hardly a man of amiable disposition and social graces. He scowls whenever he pleases, becomes rude at any time convenient for him, and worse, has a regrettable tendency to scare ladies out of their wits. Therefore, it is a most astonishing thing indeed when, upon laying eyes on the beautiful Miss Sophie Winscott, he decides to embark on a courtship... Except, of course, the hapless peer knows nothing in the matters of romance...until he receives help from an unlikely quarter.

MEETS AN EAGER MATCHMAKER

Then enter Miss Winscott's cousin, the vivacious Caroline Davis, who oddly gets along well with the slightly waspish Earl. Determined to help, Caroline endeavours to make a match of the two. But for all her enthusiasm, she can't help but be drawn to the troubled lord... and things start to get a little tangled from there.

WATTYS 2016 WINNER! - Writer's Debut Category **A Wattpad Featured story!!!** What's a lady to do... Lady Charlotte has never been the typical English lady. So when her uncle forces the issue, Charlotte knows her time is up. She is making her move. As the poor gentleman, Charlie. In two weeks' time, she plans to take control of her future while stripping her uncle of his. When she meets her match... Lord Greyson, the Earl of Claymore, can't seem to forget the mysterious lady he saved from being compromised, only for her to punch him in the face and descend a balcony to be rid of him. He doesn't expect to meet her again so soon, and not like this. As a lad who looks distinctly familiar, with a sharp tongue and a spirit that demands independence. What else is Greyson to do but watch over his little caterpillar, offering her safety and employment in his stables? It's the perfect solution. Or so he thinks. And finds herself falling in love... What neither one of them expects is the sexual tension that ignites between them. What's a girl to do when she finds herself falling for her employer. And that he seems to feel the same...for his stable hand. But that's the least of their problems as a common enemy threatens to tear them apart, one that has no intention of letting either one of them off the hook. It's winner take all - breeches edition. When Helene Lovell finds herself a penniless orphan, she is swept into the world of manners, money, and etiquette, where her cruel Aunt Lady Dorothea is the ringmaster, and never ceases to remind her of her burdensome existence. The only consolation is Henry, who shows Helene friendship and kindness in a place of sadness. Fast-forward a few years, where grown-up Henry and Helene meet again, but Helene must battle her ever growing feelings for him. As she stays as a guest at Henry's families residence, she is unwittingly submerged into the middle of family drama, tragedy, and love. Will Helene be able to overcome her social position, shyness and rank and follow her heart, or simply conform to what is expected of her? ~Dedicated to my grandma, who recently passed away but was the best story teller I knew~ UPDATE: I wrote this book a few years ago on a whim, and also to help distract me from the grief of losing my grandma. As such, it is very unedited! I am leaving it up because it was my first book on Wattpad, and came straight from my heart. I don't really plan on editing it so I am sorry if you notice any errors/holes/mistakes, but hope you can enjoy it in its very rough and unpolished form nonetheless :-)
