Come visit a town in the distant future. Little Tumbleweed. An anachronism within an anachronism. A desert town where the inhabitants prefer to live in an ancient Wild West culture, yet with 1960s technology. They do this because they hate modernity so much. Imagine their disdain when into their town steps a modern business man seeking his two children. And furthermore, he has the effrontery to have a highly technological prosthetic arm! And boy, does this business man mean business!

A Blip in Modernity is a 22,500 word sci-fi novella by T. J. P. Campbell divided into 11 chapters. It is a proof-read pre-published version with good grammar and punctuation.

The published version has a style improvement. Amazon at present does not allow the published versions to be read on other publishing systems. Minimal images included for speed of reading on phones and laptops.

An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose.
