A romantic story settled in a dystopian Germany in 1945. Germany has won the war, and the USSR is slowly falling apart. Alexandra Rose Maria Petrov is sent to Germany by her friends to search a better life, unaware of the racism and discriminations she's about to receive from the elder ladies, nazi generals' wives, that will host her and turn her into a housemaid for their mansion. Every single girl is fascinated by one single man: Colonel Hansel Friedricken, or as the local call him, Oberst Friedricken or simply "Hans". He never fell in love since his father forced him into the military, turning such a sweet boy in the coldest colonel in Germany. Will anyone manage to melt that strong ice around his head with her simple manners and mindset? We will find out soon.

Tragedy happened one afternoon at school as a student was found to be missing and is nowhere to be seen. But what does that have to do with a clock? As a history student I am infatuated by the past. World War Two was something I couldn't resist writing about. The battles on land, sea and air shaped the nature of warfare today. What continues to intrigue me, however, is the way WW2 was resolved. Most wars follow an arc synonymous to a plot of a story. They have rising action, a climax and a resolution. WW2, on the other hand, saw its conclusion in its climax with the release of the atomic bomb. I was heavily inspired by this unique ending, so much so that I decided to write a short chapter based on the events that took place on August 6th 1945.
