Nick Styles knew that life in Gotham is never easy, but this is his home, and he wouldn't have it any other way. However, that all changes when something terrible happened in his life...but also something amazing. Now he will use his newfound gifts to help this city, because...with great power, comes great responsibility.

Miguel O'Hara (Spiderman 2099) arrives in Neo Gotham following an illegal shipment from Alchemax, he's thrown into the wild chaos of Neo Gotham with its villains while hunting down the Billionaire Derek Powers, finding out he's linked to Alchemax. He gets the attention of Batman (Terry McGinnis) who doesn't pay attention to him at first but realizes how bad the situation is. They're at odds at first but quickly form a temporary alliance to deal with both their problems. All rights to these characters belong to their respective franchises, creators, and parent companies. It's not Gotham City anymore. It's Neo-Gotham. The year is 2039, and Batman has a new name. It's Terry. Terry McGinnis. Bruce Wayne is retired, and Terry has to take down the Joker; who is now older, and crazier than ever.

Out of stubbornness Nightwing quits the family business, only for family to drag him back in. In particular, one stubborn Robin ticking off a serial kidnapper as himself rather than as Robin. Oh, and Christmas stinks, but once a hero, always a hero, and Damien remains Damien, an evil little twerp who learned "good" ways to be evil and tormenting. Disclaimer - I don't own DC. I'm utilizing elements from the Young Justice, Batman Beyond and other series, as Damien never shows in either. AU origin for Terry, but more specifically, Batman's not his father genetically but related in a different way. At this point, Terry's parents are already divorced. Also, I like the idea of Warren always being aware of the fact Terry's not his biologically, but not caring. Some of the other plot twists though are left a secret.

After losing her father Martha Wayne-Grayson moves in with her grandfather and decides to live a life of fighting crime. After Batman's retirement, she becomes the most feared vigilante in Gotham. She then meets Terry McGinnis and they become the new crime-fighting duo. (Terry x oc)

The death of the first Batman sets in for Terry McGinnis - the Batman of the future as he finds himself unable to return to his own time, yet also involved in the life of the first Robin, someone he never met in the future. The path forward is definitely unsure, what with entities from different times existing at the same time and not actually making the universe implode, but there are definitely secrets Bruce never told him about. Making matters worse, there appears to be a bleed over from his now non-existent timeline, forcing him to face his past, or his own beginning as Batman on top of dealing with the first Robin.
