It is the year 2012 and the world around them is erupting into chaos as Fathoms, magical beings, are being blamed for a surge of attacks against common folk. Cambridge, a school for the gifted and Akeli's home, is at the centre of the storm when evidence condemns them. Now all Akeli needs to do is save her race, the world, and deal with all the normal things a teenage girl must. Sounds easy, right?

Not realizing, it was never theirs. While the one person they care about is distracted by wonders of their life, Lorelei sits in their bedroom and wonders...when will I ever find something to live for? OPHELIA(she/her) Ophelia oh how to describe such a girl. Described as the definition of beauty, as though she does not realize it. She does however, but not to believe. Unlike others, she is not blinded by her wants, not even her needs. Pretending that everything is alright, her insecurities rise as Lorelei tries to let them down.

Darkness my friend

This was a simple assignment for class, thought I might share it and anything else that comes to mind

This is my first real attempt at poetry. Therefore, its purpose is still unclear, but let it wash over you and you might find a glint of gold beckoning to breathe fire in you beneath the darkness.

I seen him almost every day. Walking in the hallway, in class, at the mall, at the local McDonalds, EVERYWHERE. Do you know how much that kills me? Knowing the guy that I've had a crush on for seven years doesn't know who I am? I want him to see me, not as just a normal girl walking down a hallway. No. I want him to see me as his girlfriend, or at least a friend. So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna dig deeper and make him see me.
