Due to budget cuts at the university, Enjolras and his corral group are forced to rent a new research vessel to take them out to an isolated atoll. But how will he ever survive 5 months on a boat with that one crew member who refuses to leave him alone and also smokes way too much.

His abstinence is only part of it. ――― I needed a positive character growth for Grantaire. With this oneshot, I'm giving it to him. This is a meant as a study of "what would have to happen to set R on a better life path" and you can see I have a lot of feelings on the matter. Not only the alcohol addiction stands in Grantaire's way of making something of his life - his view of the world, his obsession with Enj and his own struggles with mental health are also important factors. This oneshot is me giving him the starting point to work on those things and recreate them into something healthier. _____ TW: a bit of swearing, a bit of French, a bit of intense dialogues :'3

Rip had just seen Vandal Savage murder his wife and son. Now that he's met a soldier boy named Jean "Jehan" Prouvaire, he's tempted to change history for a boy who had less hope than he did. The Les Miserables characters are based off of the movie and were created by Victor Hugo. Rip Hunter, Gideon, The Waverider, Vandal Savage, and the others are all from the DC universe! I don't own these characters. All I did, with the help of a friend, was make fanfiction.

Grantaire doesn't really know when he fell for the man who hated him, but somewhere along the line, the boundaries of friendship and relationships got mixed, and now he is at a loss. Should he make a move? Does he stand a chance? If Enjolras didn't return his feelings, can they continue to be friends? Or as close to a friend as Enjolras would consider him anyways....
