Then, the skies rained heavily as if the heavens wanted to wash every single thing it deemed impure away, slowly drowning the small crust of green we called home like a tightening noose. In this rusting twenty-seven-meter boat, crewed by the seven of us who used to just be friends of the same school, and an old, fatherly captain, this is what is left of home. We lived here, laughed and cried under the rolling of the seas as we tried to get back everything that had slipped from our fingers. The horizon over there offers no promises for us. Only that faint, stubborn line where sky meets sea, where somewhere beyond it, a speck of land resides somewhere in the endless blue, the land where we should build anew and live as ourselves again. But, until we had traversed this vast and empty heaven, we shall sail towards the end of it, gently.
