How do you keep living after something important is missing?
There are losses that announce themselves with sirens and tears.
And there are losses that arrive quietly, settling into the empty spaces of ordinary days.
This collection is a record of both.
Each poem marks a different kind of absence-of people, of peace, of home, of the person we once were, and the slow, imperfect act of continuing anyway. There are no promises that time will heal every wound. Only the hope that, somewhere between the counting of days and the weight of memory, we learn how to carry what remains.
