•••Mature content••• I wrote this short story back in 2008 for a creative writing class in College. I've changed a few small things only because I want to keep the story the same because it's what I felt like writing at the time.

I'd Rather Live Than Live Forever

"You'll regret crossing my way. I'll make sure that you'll hate surviving." he was breathing hard as he smashed the piece of wood from the broken cupboard on the wall with anger with blood dripping from his head and mouth. "Do as you wish. I am not that easy to break." I replied with as much confidence possible in that moment. "Time will tell that." he stumbled out and abandoned me in that abandoned house with many people lying unconscious on the floor and broken furniture. *-* "Wa-lterrr" someone fell on my back and I turned to look. I had to hold onto the person to let him stand . There he was, standing so close . "Spencer, you are drunk." He opened his eyes a little, drowsy as hell, eyed me and crashed hard on me with his lips. *-* Meet Ava , she got transfered to a new school due to some unknown reason. She doesn't give a damn. Millions of way to say sorry but just not enough?

What do you do when handed a pen and paper? For the writer? She chose to create poetry about her feelings and experiences. A book where she can write anonymously. The pen glides ink onto the paper while the identity remains secret. Her art is on display, but the writer hides behind a shadow, a reflection of her life.
