These thoughts stem from the difficult life Rush tries so hard to hide. These thoughts are unbearable. "Nothing is more suffocating than boredom." So Rush drowns them out with the adrenalin and the excitement from reckless behaviors. The energy and thoughts in him need to come out somehow, right? This is the life of a reckless boy.
