It's the summer of 1981. "Taps" is in theatres; "The Best of Times" by Styx is climbing the charts and Charles and Di are about to walk down the aisle. Meanwhile 15-year-old Wendy Riley is plotting her grand escape from Averagehood, a bedroom she shares with her five-year-old brother and a daily detention schedule for being a little too generous with her answers to a fateful History 10 quiz. In a story that is one part coming of age on the stage, one part romance warmed over a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and two parts homage to Eighties fashion, music and movies, Wendy begins to see her family, friends and foils for who they really are. "The Pearl Inside of Everything" is an unforgettable collection of funny, fierce and foibled characters that celebrates the best of the days when shoulder pads were big, hair was bigger and all you needed to get a dream off the ground was a boost of E.L.O. and a couple of beagles who know how to tangle. COMPLETE!

As Rocky struggles to face one of his deepest fears, Zuma can only hope his presence will be enough to help him endure the plunge.

The Wild pack finally thought they are free of all dangers. After the traitor within the pack, Breeze, was found and Storm got rid of her the packs only issue were longpaws breathing on the dogs backs. The pack escaped them into the mountains. But not all is safe and sound. The wolves, who's territory lies just below the dogs pack, are constantly shifting between friends and foes. Unfortunately it's not the only issue.. longpaws are once again too close. And the pack is afraid of having to abandon their home once again. But do they truly have to? The newcomer in the pack might have an answer. Unofficial continuation of my beloved Erin Hunter series Survivors. Which sadly never got past arc 2. This story will merge both canon characters from the original books (mostly with my own twist on them) AND new original characters, including the new protagonist. Warning, while this story is rated only 13+ it does contain mature topics such as abuse, describtions of gore and mental disstress. Proceed with caution if you are sensitive to such topics! Story will update every other Monday! Possible changes to the schedule will be listed in the chapter beforehand!

Welcome to The Cozy Chaos Club. This is basically a public diary at this point. Inside this book you will find: * random rants * tiny life crises * dramatic storytelling over small inconveniences * overthinking * cats causing problems * questionable late-night thoughts * chaotic stories * probably sleep deprivation * and whatever else my brain decides to throw in here This club is for: people who get emotionally attached to random objects, people who say "it's fine" when it is clearly not fine, people whose pets target important papers, and people who somehow turn every normal situation into a whole cinematic event. There is no plot. There is no schedule. There is barely organization. But there is ✨vibes✨. Welcome to the club.

Driven by a grumpy, tea-drinking cat named Mr. Nyang and a chronically exhausted Korean part-timer, Butler_Han, this taxi runs on a special fuel: 'Memory Shards,' the warm memories left behind by grieving owners on Earth. But navigating the cosmos isn't easy when you're dodging the toxic 'Fog of Obsession' and dealing with 40-kilogram sheepdogs trying to eat your dashboard. A heartwarming, chaotic, and tear-jerking K-Fantasy journey about healing, letting go, and the eternal bond between humans and their beloved pets. Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be an emotional ride.

In the neon-colored capital planet of Chigu, Karel enters the school believing she has to prove the worthiness of humans to the empire as a whole. However, just as we all think of ourselves as the "main character" of the universe, Karel is not the only new student dealing with this life changing transition. She is joined by Francis, a tall lanky alien dealing with the pressures of living up to his culture's high expectations for him. Also, Nichol, an artful and highly intelligent alien girl whose innate scientific skills fit well with her family's expectations, but conflict with her own personal aspirations. Finally, there is Kenny, the handsome athletic type alien whose flirty and confident exterior is hiding the dread he feels over the role he plays in his culture's competitive examination systems. Oh, and there is a space dog named... Space Dog. He was named by a bunch of 14 year-olds on their first day of school, so not too surprising. I heard one class named theirs "Pupper-nickle." While initially having very little in common, all four must band together to form a detective and mystery club in order to solve the case of Principal Hobbs' attempted assassination. Along the way, they learn how to deal with their own feelings of anxiety about their roles in society, relate to other cultures, understand the international relations of different peoples and civilizations, find love, and try to turn in their report on Earth history on time. Yes, even with an investigation going on, they still have homework to do. They are not raising slackers at this galactic imperial military high school, I will have you know.

In the ruins of the world, love still survives. Adira has survived the unthinkable-loss, betrayal, bloodshed. With only her fiercely loyal dog, Bozo, by her side, she's carved out an existence among the ashes of a dead world. Trust is a luxury she can't afford. Love? Impossible. Then she stumbles upon a thriving city-a place with power, water, walls... and Lynndea. Bright, bold, and infuriatingly kind, Lynn is everything Adira never expected to find. As the two women navigate the fragile peace inside the walls and the ever-present threat outside them, a slow-burning connection ignites-built on quiet glances, shared scars, and the simple hope that maybe they don't have to face this world alone. But in a place where danger is always lurking, and hearts are harder to protect than bodies, Adira and Lynn must decide what they're willing to risk-for safety, for truth, and for each other. Because in the end, it's not just about what they've lost. It's about what remains.

A year and a half ago, the world ended. Humanity fled underground when the entities arrived-monsters from somewhere beyond Earth, creatures that stalk the fog, wear familiar shapes, and call with stolen voices. Humans cannot see them. They can only hear the screams, feel the cold, and hide beneath the ground. But dogs can see them. Now the world above belongs to the guardians left behind. Odin, a powerful King Shepherd, and Loki, a sharp, restless German Shepherd, protect their human family from the surface: Elias, Emily, Camry, and Jackson. While their humans survive in the bunker below, the two dogs venture into the ruined world above to gather supplies, repair radio towers, trade with stray packs, and keep the monsters away from home. But survival is changing. Dog communities are forming. Alliances are becoming necessary. Strange signals are calling from the fog. Collars are being found without bodies. And somewhere in the darkness, the entities may be hiding a truth far worse than death. With only their noses, instincts, courage, and each other, Odin and Loki must protect the family they love-and help build a future in a world where humanity's best friend has become humanity's last defense. I forgot to add that this is inspired by the game called 'The Good Dog: Chasing Shadows' Obviously, it's not exactly like the game and it won't be but the general idea of the apocalypse and dogs only seeing the entities and all that kind of stuff it's kind of based off of that

After losing her job overseas, Mia returns home to Auckland carrying more emotional baggage than suitcases. Unsure of what comes next, she begins volunteering at a quiet countryside dog boarding facility where abandoned and elderly dogs are given a second chance. Life at the kennels is messy, emotional, and far from perfect. Dogs bark through the night, rescue cases arrive without warning, and every animal seems to carry a story of its own. But among the chaos, Mia slowly finds comfort in the routines, the people, and one troubled rescue dog named Rusty. As she grows closer to the kennel community, Mia discovers how deeply pets shape people's lives and why so many local families trust places like K9 Heaven when searching for reliable Dog Kennels Auckland services that genuinely care for animals. What begins as temporary volunteer work slowly becomes something much more personal: a chance to heal, reconnect, and finally feel at home again. A heartfelt story about rescue dogs, emotional recovery, friendship, and the unexpected ways animals help people survive their hardest seasons.
