"Afraid of me? Why are you so afraid, princess?" He placed his hand on the wall next to her head, effectively trapping her between his body and the cold stone. "I'm not afraid of you," she lied, her voice steady despite the tremble in her hands. "I'm not afraid of anything." He chuckled darkly. "You should be." His lips barely brushed against hers in a tantalizingly soft touch. She froze on the spot, her legs refusing to move. He took advantage of her daze, closing the remaining gap and crushing his lips against hers.

*NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR* This story contains strong themes that may be distressing to readers such as: - Domestic violence - Murder - *Implied* Abuse of a child of several natures - Homophobia As of right now (Aug 2026) the story is still under development and the themes may change, and certain themes may appear that were not planned or listed above. My intention is to create something personal and compelling, and I do the best I can to be respectful to all parties, but I do write within my skillset which includes themes and elements that may be difficult to consume. You are too valuable as a person to compromise your mental and emotional wellbeing for a fictional story. Love, Ann Moone Now for the description: Lucille Rose Youngblood has spent years learning how to survive her boyfriend, Daniel. Behind the respectable Ashford name and the closed doors of their home lies a dynamic built on fear, bruises, and silence. Lucy knows the rules: keep the peace, hide the evidence, and never give Daniel a reason to become angry. Until one night, everything changes. Now Daniel Ashford is missing. His family wants answers. The police want a timeline. Detective Cross has been handed a missing-person case that feels wrong from the moment it lands on her desk. Lucy should be terrified. Instead, she can finally breathe. But freedom doesn't come easily when the man who haunted your life refuses to stop haunting it-and Vivian has ghosts of her own buried beneath a badge, a family name, and a lifetime of carefully constructed lies. As the investigation draws two women toward one another, the line between victim and suspect begins to blur. Secrets surface. Old wounds split open. In a town where powerful men have spent generations deciding which truths deserve to be heard, Lucy and Vivian will have to decide how much they're willing to lose to finally tell theirs. Some things survive even after they're buried. And violets have always had a way of growing where no one wanted them to.

Belle needed a quiet place to paint. What she got... was The House. Described by her cousin as "quaint" and "full of character," the old mansion on the isolated farm is anything but. The house smells like something died in it in 1893 and never quite left. The lights don't work, the clocks don't agree, and the walls seem to whisper when the storm rolls in. Charming. Cut off from the outside world as the weather turns vicious, Belle is not alone. There's a man-warm, strong, kind, and very distracting... except for one small problem: She's not entirely sure he is real. Because this house doesn't behave. Doors don't always lead where they should. Time slips. Shadows remember. And sometimes, the past doesn't just echo-it replays. As old journals, strange dreams, and terrifying moments she can't explain bring together fragments of history, Belle begins to uncover tragedies that were never meant to be buried. But the house isn't just remembering. It's waiting... Funny, haunting, and quietly heartbreaking, The House is a story about love, loss, revenge, and the secrets that refuse to stay buried. This story contains themes of psychological horror, violence, and disturbing imagery. Reader discretion is advised. Genre: Mystery/Humour/Romance This is a work of fiction. Alma has never questioned The Sanctuary. Beyond the pine forests lies the Noise, a corrupt and violent world abandoned by the faithful decades ago. Inside the compound, life is orderly. Silent. Pure. Every morning begins with prayer, every choice belongs to the elders, and every girl is taught the same truth: Obedience is love. Raised within the rigid teachings of Father Vale and the Church of the Holy Silence, Alma has spent her life preparing to become the kind of woman the Sanctuary demands, quiet, devout, unseen. But when her closest friend disappears without explanation and whispers of hidden truths begin surfacing beneath the compound's careful rituals, Alma starts to notice the cracks in the world she was taught to fear leaving. Jonah has noticed them for years. Assigned to maintain the Sanctuary's generators and forbidden technology, Jonah has seen enough hypocrisy to know the cult's holiness is built on lies. He's spent years surviving in silence after his brother vanished for asking too many questions. But the closer Alma gets to the truth, the more dangerous they both become. As Father Vale tightens his grip and an arranged marriage threatens to seal Alma's future forever, Alma and Jonah are forced to confront the terrifying possibility that escape may be their only chance at freedom. But leaving The Sanctuary is only the beginning. Because the outside world is louder, crueler, and far more overwhelming than Alma ever imagined, and some forms of conditioning do not end at the gates. *Cult of Silence* is a haunting psychological thriller about control, faith, survival, and what it truly means to choose your own life.

Jhoanna Robles only wanted one thing when she moved into her new apartment: A fresh start. New place. New routine. New semester. Hopefully, fewer problems. Unfortunately, the apartment came with a roommate. The problem? Her roommate is dead. At first, Jhoanna refuses to believe it. The footsteps at three in the morning? Probably the neighbors. The lights turning on by themselves? Electrical problem. Her missing charger appearing inside the refrigerator? Okay. That one is harder to explain. And the sarcastic girl sitting casually on her kitchen counter? Definitely not normal. Aiah Arceta has been living in the apartment longer than Jhoanna has-and apparently, she has no intention of leaving just because her new roommate is terrified of ghosts. She's intelligent. Annoying. Competitive. Way too confident for someone who technically has no pulse. And somehow, she keeps making Jhoanna's life more chaotic than it already was. Then there are four other ghosts. Five dead girls with too many inside jokes, too much free time, and absolutely no respect for Jhoanna's sanity. What starts with screaming, pranks, and ridiculous house rules slowly becomes something Jhoanna never expected. Friendship. Family. And feelings that become increasingly difficult to explain. Because falling for your roommate is already complicated. Falling for someone who is already dead? That's a whole different problem. And Jhoanna is about to learn that some people can enter your life long after theirs has ended. Sometimes, the strangest people become home.

Ellie just wanted a cheap room in a half‑decent flat. What she got was a ghost with opinions. Theo has been dead for years, but that hasn't stopped him from haunting the spare room - or from developing a very inconvenient attachment to the living girl who moves in. He's sarcastic, restless, and far too human for someone who can walk through walls. Ellie shouldn't talk to him. She definitely shouldn't laugh with him. And she absolutely shouldn't start caring about a man she can't touch. But the longer they share a home, the more the boundaries blur: between haunting and companionship, between grief and hope, between a life paused and a life still unfolding. When Ellie uncovers the truth about Theo's death - and the reason he's still here - she has to decide whether helping him move on means losing him forever. A warm, aching, paranormal love story about connection, unfinished business, and the one person who sees you even when no one else can. ---

The Clairavilla, another motel claiming to be haunted. Bella Wallace believed none of it. Room 403. A room number that everyone in the conspiracy community was talking about. They said It was haunted. There were Witches that yelled things at 3am on Monday mornings. Ghosts that pass just out of sight of your peripheral vision. Nothing that interested Bella. Not until AI threatened to take her job. The New York Report was one of the first to raise the alarm on Artificial Intelligence taking jobs from human reporters, but as the pressure grows and new leadership takes over, it is up to Bella to break a big story or lose her job. It just so happens her sister Robin is one of those 'kooks' who thought this story had merit. As she looks deeper into this she realizes a trip to Nonz, a city mearly thirty minutes from Detroit, might hold the needed information to crack this conspiracy wide open. But as she checks into the infamous Clairavilla motel, her sense of why she thought so adamantly that this was nothing more than a conspiracy begins to vanish. Is room 403 really anything supernatural, or unexplainable? Or is there a reasonable explanation behind the terror that seems to dawn every time the lights go out.
