In another life, I would've been a bird.
In another life, I would be free.
In another life, I would still fly back to you.
For as long as I can remember, I've been prone to accidents. Even though I was always the quietest in the room, noise somehow followed me. My mind would wander to all the ways I could disappear. I mean, I could've swallowed a handful of pills and rid the world of my clumsy ass for good, but I was too much of a coward for that. Not that anyone would miss me, except the street dog I fed my leftovers to. I named her Poppy. In my heart, she was the only family I had.
Until I met the Russo family, the best and worst thing that ever happened to me. When I first encountered them, I thought I'd finally won the lottery in life.
Until I drowned in their blood.
And then it all made sense. It was never luck, just one long, twisted nightmare.
Now I count the minutes, waiting to finally wake up.
